Course Description

In this course students are introduced to basic human anatomy, the principles of safe biologic specimen collection and patient preparation.

Upon successful completion learners will be able to:

•  Recognize blood vessels, layers and properties (arteries, capillaries, and veins);
•  Identify vein names and characteristics;
•  Identify suitable veins; and
•  Identify the selection of tubes and the sequence of draw
