Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to educate the learner about health promotion and prevention among the elderly population.

Upon completion of this module the learner will be able to:

• Define health promotion and prevention.
• Understand primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary prevention.
• Discuss common infection and prevention strategies specific to the elderly population.
