Course Description

Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to educate the learner about neurological and mental health conditions affecting the elderly population.

Upon completion of this module the learner will be able to: 

• Describe changes in the neurological system of the aging person. 
• Describe dementia and discuss the different types of dementia. 
• Discuss common neurological conditions that can affect the aging person. 
• Discuss common mental illnesses that can affect the aging person.
