Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to educate the learner about hematological and immunological conditions and issues affecting the elderly population. 

Upon  completion of this module the learner will be able to:

• Discuss the different types of anemia and their affect on the elderly population.
• Discuss the different types of leukemia.
• Discuss the differences between HIV and AIDS.
• Describe immunosuppressive conditions and infections.
